Theme: My favorite Taiwanese Food
- By signing up for the drawing contest, the participant agrees to abide by the following rules:
- No electronic equipment or visual aids. Participants that are found using visual aids will be disqualified.
- The drawing should be completed by the participant independently. No assistance from parents, siblings or other students.
- Drawing should be completed on paper provided by PCLS
- Each contestant will have an assigned number on first date of contest to identify their entry. No name or grade is allowed on drawing paper.
- Student should bring his / her own drawing supplies (pencil, markers, crayons, etc.) and can be shared between siblings.
- The drawing should be completed on site within the allotted time (1:30-2:25pm) on two contest dates.
- Drawings will be scored based on (1) creativity and originality, (2) quality; (3) clarity of the theme; (4) presentation; and (5) overall impression. 20% for each component.

From iconic night market snacks like chewy boba milk tea and crispy popcorn chicken to comforting bowls of beef noodle soup or sweet mango shaved ice, we want to see what delicious Taiwanese food brightens up your tastebuds! Grab your art supplies, draw your favorite Taiwanese dishes, snacks, or deserts, and show us the colorful flavors that make food so much fun.
New to Taiwanese food? Stop by our Book Fair—Slow-Cooked: Stories from Taiwan across Time—on October 18 to get inspired and learn all about these amazing dishes! You can also search "Taiwanese food" online to explore all kinds of tasty ideas for your artwork.
Every participating student will receive a coupon. An extra coupon will be awarded to the top 3 winners and honorable mentions in each age group.
